Every person’s ceiling to what their effort can achieve is different; it depends on factors including the family they were born into, circumstances around their upbringing, their level of education, their social circles, time devoted to their crafts, and luck. Most people are comfortable living and dying within the bounds of what their power and might can achieve them.
However, there’s a place in destiny, business, careers, ministry, and what have you, that human effort alone can’t get you. There’s a level of achievement and impact that come as a result of submission to spirit (something beyond human).
A kind of person whose works and life have a transgenerational, transnational, and even eternal impact is yielded to something whose influence and power are beyond human effort. They need not have great ability in and of themselves, only great submission to influence, or a mind, higher than they.
Then he said, “This is God’s message to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, says the Lord Almighty—you will succeed because of my Spirit, though you are few and weak.’
