"Only God Can Judge Me."
This is something many say as a defence against criticism assuming that they will fare better under the judgment of The Divine Omniscience.
God is undoubtedly the best person to judge you. He knows everything there is to know about you and understands why you make the decisions you make better than anyone else can.
The mistake most of us make in appealing to the judgment of God is forgetting that He is not only All-Knowing but also All-Righteous. And so, He will not vindicate your words and actions; the only thing God is interested in proving right is His word. And if you stand in violation of His righteous word, the one thing you will want to appeal to is His Mercy, not His Judgment.
We must, however, seek to be judged by God while we walk this earth. It is better to learn the errors of our way on this side of eternity to course-correct before it's too late.
Our prayer to the Lord must be, "Judge me severely and correct me ruthlessly so that I might serve you perfectly."
